Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
Diadem Sports NZ runs this website. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
You can browse this site without telling us who you are. We only collect personal details when you choose to give them to us.
What we collect
When you contact us
Our contact form asks for your name, email address and your message. We use these to answer you.
When you sign up for an event
Signing up for an event such as Challenge the Diadem Pro records your name, email address, what you told us you're keen to do on the day, and the time you signed up. We use these to send you your confirmation, to manage the event, and to let you know if anything about it changes.
When you browse the site
We collect information about how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location based on your IP address, the type of device and browser you're on, the site you arrived from, and how you move around and interact with pages. This helps us see what people are looking for and where the site is confusing or slow.
We don't take payments on this site, so we never collect card or bank details.
Analytics, cookies and session recordings
We use three analytics tools. You can stop all of them by blocking cookies or using a tracking blocker in your browser — the site works the same either way.
- Google Analytics — measures visits and which pages and products get attention. It sets cookies on your device. You can opt out across all sites with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Vercel Analytics — counts page views and measures site speed. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites.
- Microsoft Clarity — produces heatmaps and recordings of site sessions, so we can see where people get stuck. Recordings capture mouse movement, clicks and scrolling. Text you type into form fields is masked before the recording leaves your browser, so we can't read it back. Clarity sets cookies on your device.
Who else sees your information
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing. We do use service providers who handle it on our behalf:
- Vercel — hosts this website and provides its analytics.
- Google — provides Google Analytics, and Google Sheets, where we keep our event signup lists.
- Microsoft — provides Clarity.
- Resend — delivers the emails we send you, such as event confirmations.
These providers store and process information on servers outside New Zealand, including in the United States and the European Union. We only use providers that are required to protect your information to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages stay in our email inbox while they're still useful for answering you and for our records. Event signup lists are kept for up to 24 months after the event so we can let you know about the next one, unless you ask us to remove you sooner. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it's wrong. You can also ask us to delete it, or to stop emailing you, and we'll do that unless we're required to keep it.
Email info@diademsports.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days. If you're not happy with how we've handled your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Children
Our events are open to juniors. If you're under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before signing up or sending us your details.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top of it.
